Job Description

Job purpose

The Reporting Analyst will support the Finance Manager in the timely and accurate reporting of results and the management of the financial processes and controls.

The role will focus on the month end reporting cycle and production of monthly management reports including liaison with the FSSC and HRSSC to ensure all reconciliations are reviewed and complete, as well as leading the control processes in the business unit around retail reconciliations and fixed asset verification and project accounting.

The analyst will also support the quarterly forecasting, annual planning and strategic planning process and providing financial input and analysis for capital investment business cases and pricing and promotion proposals

Key Accountabilities

Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to management on revenues, cost of sales, and balance sheet and the underlying drivers, through continuous analysis and interaction with the business

Ensure the KPI workbook is complete and submitted on time each month

Support Finance Manager/GM in compiling Monthly Performance Review (MPR) report and any other reporting requirements of the business

Prepare journal entries as required

Drive and develop the segmental reporting of business performance and ensure results are properly split between B2B and Consumer

Researches and analyzes discrepancies; and processes appropriate correction transactions.

Assists in the period closing process and compiling of analysis and commentaries on monthly and annual performance.

Monitors Opex and revenue related to budgets to identify gaps

Acts as a liaison with cost centre managers

Provide financial analysis and support for the completion of business cases

Provide support and cover for on-island account payables and admin teams as required

Performs monthly reviews of the GRIR account and Vendors balances and work with AP & Admin Officer to resolve issues promptly

Provide support to retail team in ensuring end of day cash recons and retail inventory reconciliations are completed and that processes are being adhered to

Work with SSC to complete hyperion submission each month

Review SSC and CoE reconciliations for completeness and work with them and the BU’s to resolve any reconciling items

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Educational Requirements

A First Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field

At least 5 years’ experience in financial reporting or accounting positions ideally in a competitive and fast- moving business and preferably in telecoms

Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulately present and explain financial results and plans to non-financial managers and colleagues

Confident and comfortable when working with executives, senior level management, external partners and stakeholders

Strong commercial acumen and ability to see the bigger picture

Very strong Time Management skills and ability to work with competing deadlines and priorities

Strong analytical skills and attention to details

Highly flexible style to meet the needs/expectations of all levels of the organization

Experience with Hyperion/Smartview and SAP would be beneficial
