Job Description

Will be responsible for directing and inspecting the contractors who will be conducting walkouts for the New Build and Brownfield projects. You will need to know the identification of the existing electrical, HFC and FTTH network. You must master the use of the ArcGIS and Auto Cad tool. You must establish direct communication with the fiber department, design, construction, technical base and permits for the benefit of conducting the walkouts. Responsible for all phases of strikes in accordance with Liberty Cable policies, procedures, work quality standards, customer needs, and local, state, and local regulations. Responsible for complying with all daily activities requested by your supervisor. Support the Engineering and Construction Department, as well as the Operations Department in any project that requires their assistance and / or that of the department.

  • Perform quality control on the data collected in Survey 123 and Collector.
  • Technical support to the technical base, permit department, design and faithful house.
  • Support of technical standards.
  • Implement improvements and best practices in the collection of information in the walkouts.
  • Support design efforts for all your ongoing projects.
  • Maintain and optimize strand maps in progress.
  • Quality control support for design.
  • Interact with centralized designers.
  • Supervisor support for field service.
  • Keep your walkout inventory updated according to your progress.
  • Withdraw and coordinate reviews.
  • Implement the CC program in your work area.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the system maps.
  • Demonstrates and guarantees compliance with the Customer First philosophy.
  • Demonstrates and guarantees compliance with all Liberty Latin America policies and procedures, including the Code of Conduct.
  • Demonstrates and ensures compliance with Liberty security standards and procedures.
  • Other functions can be assigned.

Education:

 

AS in Electricity, Electronics, Draftsman or equivalent experience.

 

Other Qualifications:

 

  • ArcGIS Experience.
  • AutoCAD Experience.
  • Domain in ArcGIS use.
  • Domain in AutoCAD use.
  • Domain in QC implementation.
  • Domain in Construction Drawing.
  • Domain in FTTH & HFC design.
  • Must have ability to use common drafting tools and instruments.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fully Bilingual (Spanish and English).
  • Strive to achieve successful results as a team.
  • Must be able to use an engineering copier.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 45 lbs.
  • Must be able to manipulate and move large design drawings (24" by 36").
  • Must have extensive knowledge of equipment characteristics, capabilities and limitations, design alternatives and other factors, including field situations and practices, past and current, which influence system design.
  • Ability to maintain neat orderly record.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work well with people and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and confined spaces.
  • Good analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Customer Focus and service oriented.
